What to do

What a temper this boy has. For the last couple of days he has been getting so upset over lots of little things. Usually he's pretty easy going, except for his usual "no's" and "go to work" phrases he says to just about anybody.

I thought that maybe it was because he was bored at home. I've been trying to find different and fun things for him to do during the day.

I ask him to help me cook, which he loves to do. He pours, stirs, shakes, whatever it is I ask of him, and he does it so good. I set up his easel outside and we paint. We even made dinosaurs out of blocks.

I pull out his puzzles. This boy can put together 24-36 piece puzzles so fast, it blows us away. Even new puzzles that he has never put together, of course, but he is so fast.

The other day, he was helping daddy "fix the ikle" by putting bolts here and there, using the screwdriver and playing with the new compressor. He loved this loud thing. He pressed it over and over and over... Jeremiah loves it when he's out there helping him.

One thing that bugs me is that he wants to watch too much T.V. I try to limit him to two movies a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Which means I have to think up things for him to do so that he doesn't think about it or get bored.

Before bedtime, we read three books and talk. He's been telling me that he loves me so often. He says, "I'm little foot and you're the mama." Then he snuggles close to me and tells me, "I love you mama." It's heaven to hear his little voice tell me that.

That just melts my heart and I forget about all the little tantrums we had during the day.
